Did you watch the Season 2 premiere of True Blood? Spoilers after the jump.

LAFAYETTE LIVES! I was overjoyed to see him alive, but at this point I’m sure he wishes he were dead. So Eric is rounding up people that have harmed vampires, is that right? Has Lafayette ever killed a vampire? I know he’s taken their blood to sell V, but he’s never hurt anyone. Is this about Vampire Eddie aka Jimmy James? Um, and how awesome was it that Eric was getting highlights?

Sookie and Bill continue to bring the sexy, but I wonder how they’re going to get the blood out of that white chenille bedspread. Still can’t figure out what Maryann wants with Sam. Or Tara. Or Eggs. (Why is his name Eggs? I must have missed that during Season 1.)

Your thoughts?

Also, I know it’s wrong, but I too miss Rene.

    My ass is magnetic now!

    I imploded from the sheer JOY of that episode (apart from Anna’s nekkid bewbs again, it makes me uncomfortable!). The way Eric removed that smock? YES. I loved that he was getting his hair did, lol.

    Eggs = Benedict something or other. He bothers me.

    And the preview for next weeks episode has me all riled up. I was pretty riled up to start with. I’ve turned into such a True Blood junkie, it’s obscene.

    Our preview got cut off, so we haven’t seen it.

    I agree about Anna’s nudity being uncomfortable to watch sometimes. I guess because we’ve watched her grow up on screen.

    So is Maryann trying to get Eggs and Tara together? Does she want a baby from them? Curious.

    I’m thinking of getting the books. Just bought a box set of the first 7.

    omg, do it. You’ll laugh, finish them in no time at all, and then want to smack Charlaine Harris upside the head for getting rich off nothing but bad Betty-Sue fiction.

    I got the previews cut off too! I’m watching the rerun now so I get to see them.

    I suppose the easy answer for Maryanne is she wants Sam’s soul. Maybe? That’s what I first assumed. But I think maybe there’s a lot more to her than that. I wonder what that statue is supposed to be that she has. She does always seem to be ready for some Greek feast though. And the depiction of Pan by the pool could mean she’s some sort of evil nymph.

    I nearly died when Eric came down with those foils in his hair hahaha

    Jason is clearly going to get very scary this season.

    And I’m still way hot for Bill

    I miss Rene too. There was just *something* about him. I am ever so please to see Lafayette! I think he’ll lead Eric to Sookie’s brother, as you said, The Big Hot L didn’t hurt anyone – it was a mutually satisfying agreement he had with Eddie.

    Baby vamp not so irritating this ep. If she continued like before I would have to turn it off – like nails on a blackboard.. irr-i-tay-ting!

    I read the first book and have to admit that this is one of the rare cases where the tv or movie version is a vast improvement. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the show but I was not thrilled with the book and won’t be getting any more of them.

    All of the choices the tv people made improved the story. And the sexiness of the show is barely evident in that first book.
