Beyond Here Lies Nothin’

So — the True Blood Season 2 finale. Nuptials, death, dismemberment, romance, Yahtzee…and Jason saying, “I love the smell of nail polish in the morning!” He is a gem, people.
Thoughts:
- Who didn’t know that white bull was Sam from the get go? Still awesome, though.
- Oh, Eggs.
- Andy and Jason continue to entertain. Andy’s terse, “It’s DIET COKE WITH LIME!” at the end had me rolling.
- So, who took Bill? Looking to the books, I imagine this might be the storyline where we meet more evil vampires as well as the werewolf contingent.
- Jessica and Hoyt make me sad. Get back together!
This? Was awesome.

All in all, I thought it was a good wrap-up for the season. You?

I thought it was very good. My Tru Blood drinks arrived just in time on Friday too!
I assumed it was Eric who attacked Bill because of what happened with the Queen. But it’s probably not that simple.
Glad they came up with a way to get rid of Mary Ann. Didn’t see the whole Sam confronting his parents thing coming but I found that interesting.
I hate that Jessica and Hoyt missed each other!
I was looking forward to finding out more about Eggs

If they go by the books, chances are the kidnapper is Lorena.

Jason is to True Blood as Tracy is to 30 Rock. Seriously. Can you imagine both characters on the same show? The world would fold in on itself.
The first half of the episode was great, and then it seemed to be all over the place. I like seeing what happens after a Big Bad is defeated, as far as the clean up goes, but they seemed too focused on starting all these different story lines for S3. They jumped from one to another, and it was pretty distracting.
I’m curious as to why Sophie-Ann is supplying the blood to Eric, who’s getting LaFayette to sell it. What’s that all about? Is it a bad sign that I’m more interested in that, and who can save Jessica from herself, than I am about Bill being snatched?

I don’t understand the whole Sophie Ann-V-Eric-Lafayette story AT ALL. And we don’t have the books to fall back on with this one. Hope it becomes more clear next season.
