The Final Three

This week’s Amazing Race post will be short and sweet — sorry, all.
Wow. A four-hour penalty, as the Globetrotters gave up on a Roadblock. I guess it was a calculated risk, but I couldn’t BELIEVE Brian blew through that Roadblock so quickly. Although I find Ericka slightly annoying, I was smiling at their euphoria when they found out they weren’t eliminated. The brothers can go jump off a bridge, and Meghan & Cheyne have this thing completely wrapped up. I’m not really going into the finale with any sort of thrill or excitement. How about you?
I’ll tell you what I AM excited about, though — THIS.
Anyhoo:
Order of Finish
- Meghan & Cheyne
- Sam & Dan
- Brian & Ericka
- Flight Time & Big Easy (ELIMINATED)

I don’t think my 3 year old whines as much as those two.
I’m not feeling all that excited about it either. Although, I hope it is a little bit closer than it was in this episode. I don’t think there was a moment of doubt that Cheyne and Meghan were going to finish in 1st.. Did they even see another team that whole leg?

Certainly Meghan and Cheyne’s race to lose. They’re playing great. Smart move by Sam or Dan to not tell Big Easy what the word was, even if it was pretty dirty. I hope they don’t win as a result. It would be interesting if all the ousted teams got to impose some sort of minor time penalty on the final three at the beginning of the leg. For example a 10 minute, 20 minute, and 30 minute penalty vote. Best if the teams didn’t know about it until the beginning of the final leg. Maybe each ousted team would get 10 minutes to dole out to the teams as they see fit.
Sad to see Big Easy and Flight Time go out the way they did, but what can you do? The upcoming footage looked pretty action packed, so I’ll dissent and say that I am looking forward to it. Even if the footage is probably misleading.

No, not really any excitement here either. I’m just terrified the brothers will win. It seems unlikely, but stranger things have happened. They make my ears bleed.

You know it’s gonna take a lot for me to stop backing the Cute Gay Brothers, but I’ve had it. Damn. I could see not giving him the answer if they hadn’t already agreed TO DO JUST THAT. And the bickering is insane. I could see me and my brother devolving into that, though, but we barely stand each other in a regular, non-Racing format.

four hour penalty because you can’t rearrange a five-letter word? That’s ridiculous to take that. It seems that you could put the letters in pretty much every conceivable order in that time, given that he’d ALREADY done two and a half hours.

I completely agree. I think in their exit interview w/Andy at Reality Blurred, he said they were there for like eight hours and he thinks that he did get the right answer but didn’t give it to the guy b/c he thought it had already been rejected:

A needle in a Franzstack?
Agree with the comments above that this isn’t the most anticipated finale for me. I’m rooting for Meghan and Cheyne’s hair. Pot calling kettle black here, but the brothers should give Cheyne some advice on toning up that body of his.
If there’s ever another allstars, I’d guess they’d invite the Globe Trotters. Could Rupert run with Russell?
