Please Don’t Eat My Mom

This week’s episode of The Amazing Race saw the teams visit New Zealand, home to Phil. And Phil’s dad, who is the official Mat Greeter! He’s as adorable as you might think.

The Nick/Starr and Kelly/Christie feud continues, but is boring. The frat boys are still annoying and complainy. Toni and Dallas continue to rule. Ken and Tina perform one of the most terrifying Fast-Forwards I’ve seen on this show. Aja and Ty blow a tire. Marissa and Brooke struggle to keep up with the pack. And Terence is still demanding that Sarah touch him. He creeps me out.

Finishing order after the jump.

Order of Finish:

1. Ken & Tina
2. Terence & Sarah
3. Kelly & Christy
4. Toni & Dallas
5. Nick & Starr
6. Andrew & Dan
7. Aja & Ty
8. Marisa & Brooke (ELIMINATED)

The Terence touching thing is tres weird.

Two thumbs up for the Phil’s dad appearance.

I felt bad for the Southern Belles. They weren’t the sharpest knives in the drawer, but they seemed nice enough. And they didn’t whine or bitch at each other, which puts them ahead of a few other teams in my book.

At this point I’m rooting on Motherboy. Shockingly enough, Tina didn’t bug me last night. But I imagine she’ll be hell on wheels the next time an airline doesn’t give her a bigger plane so she can get on a flight.

I missed how the Southern Belles got so far behind. It seemed like all of a sudden they were out of contention. Did anyone catch that?

I really don’t care for the Southern Belles but I was disappointed that it was them who left instead of Aja and Ty.

Phil’s dad! Yay! I also enjoyed that Phil’s accent was slightly heavier when he was on the mat with his dad. :)

Kelly and Christy are so boring with that whole sports bra thing. Because you know what? I don’t think she even NEEDS a sports bra. I mean, come on.

I felt really bad for Starr and her arm. I don’t know anything about her or what her threshold for pain is, or how serious her injury was, but she was really crying and I felt so bad. And when Nick offered to drive the car, I couldn’t figure out why the hell Starr even started to drive in the first place!

I was thinking the same thing about the driving, Maggie. Ken and Tina are on a roll – not sure it can last. The more they show the “We’ve got our act together now” footage, the more I expect a total Jonathan-Victoria meltdown.

And, there are non-stop flights from La Paz to Auckland?
