Sore Loser Much?

Another season of Survivor is over. I really enjoyed this finale. And how about Erik’s speech? Damn!

What did you think?

I thought it was interesting; initially shocked at the result. But, it turns out that people don’t want to vote for someone who acts like an asshole to them. Revelation! It’s easy for people watching on TV to respect the strategy without appreciating how much Russell’s cockiness and chattiness probably ended up grating.

    Heroes vs. Villains!

Russell is a total sore loser and I loved every minute of it.

I thought Russell was going to win too, or that it’d at least be a bit closer. I lost any sympathy for him when he threw the pair of socks into the fire again – just seemed like a really lame thing to do. It’s like losing a bet to someone, and then throwing the money you lost at the feet of the winner, so they have to bend over to pick it up.

I tend to watch every other Survivor or so, but depending who is on heroes and villains I might tune in.

Russell sure was surprised, but any chance he had of winning went out the window with Erik’s speech. I actually wanted him to win, it was a great season. But maybe that was the more fitting ending. I did think it was funny how Jaison said it was like your office, and you hate that guy at your office. I got news for you, Survivor is NOTHING like people’s offices. That’s the whole point of it, it’s not like regular life. I do doubt Russell is such an ass in real life. He was just filled with glee to be on his favorite show, and he WAS a really good player.

See, I think Survivor is EXACTLY like the office. The people that work hard and take charge can be easily surpassed by those that slip under the radar and take credit for other people’s work. Finding a job and getting promoted is all about being in the right place at the right time, knowing the right people. Knowing when to support someone and knowing when to back off and let them hang him- or herself. I think it’s just like an office. And that’s exactly why Russell didn’t win. Natalie was nicer.

    Natalie is Pam.
    Russell is Dwight.
    Shambo is Michael Scott.

Just came across this bio of Russell for the upcoming Heroes vs. Villains:

    Russel Bio.

Previous Survivor He Respects Most: “I don’t respect any of them.”
Previous Survivor He Respects Least: “I don’t respect any of them.”

    Stay classy, Russell.

I love that it still is killing him to have finished in 2nd. To NATALIE of all people, who he dismissed as a “dumb blonde” early on.

Sometimes, karma gets it exactly right.
