Sugar Cookies
Friday, November 21, 2008 at 12:08am by MaggieTonight’s recap is going to be short and sweet, because really, what more is there to say? This is why I still watch Survivor.
Basically, Randy came up with the world’s stupidest plan. He decided to be even more of a jerk than usual to get everyone to vote for him. He thought he’d be able to get Bob to give him the hidden immunity idol and by using it, he’d send Susie home. Corinne thought this would be a great idea because if Randy’s out there acting like an asshole, it takes the target off her back. However, as we know, Bob did not find the idol but he did share his fake idol with Sugar.
Corinne and Randy also tried to get Matty over to their side, which almost worked. Matty tried to convince his alliance to vote out Bob first, but when Randy turned on his special charm, Matty quickly changed his mind and rallied against Randy. Bob came back from his second trip to Exile Island and at this point, Sugar was so fed up with Randy she approached Bob with an idea – give Randy the fake idol. Bob agreed.
I could not stop laughing during tribal council. First, Crystal charmed me entirely by yelling her confessional so loud that everyone could hear her! Then when Randy stood up and presented Jeff with Bob’s idol, I relished the smug looks on all their faces, particularly those of Randy and Corinne. Jeff announced that the idol was a fake and even Marcus and Charlie on the jury couldn’t help but laugh. I thought I saw Bob looking a bit guilty, though.
God, I love it when a plan like this comes together. Bye Randy!

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
Does everyone think next week that Bob is going to try to convince Corinne of a similar thing?

OH MY GOD YOU GUYS! This has been a banner year for CBS reality programming! First, we get the BEST EPISODE EVER of Big Brother, then we get this.
Holy crap. Just awesome.
Mrs. Papercuts! kept joking that she was going to have to sedate me, I was so giddy the minute “Plan A-Hole” went into effect. And then when pretty much everyone was openly laughing at Tribal, including Susie’s silent smile and eyes full of tears, I had to bite down on an afghan. Seriously, how great was it to see those above-mentioned smug looks melt off Randy and Corrine’s faces?
I gotta give Bob props for covering his tracks. “I didn’t know it was fake! See? I voted for Susie too!”
What is Corrine’s deal with Sugar? She’s got a lot of hate directed towards her. “Don’t trust anybody, especially Sugar.” Wait, Corrine, I thought Sugar and Matty were stupid and they’d do what you told them?

That was great. I can see, however, why Charlie thought Sugar wasn’t such a peach to have around.

My husband was watching dishes and I had to call him in to watch Tribal Council. I just told him, “I think you’ll enjoy this” and didn’t tell him what the plan was. It was fantastic, I love when the asshats get theirs.

I have never laughed harder during Survivor than when Crystal was giving her her vote confessional. Hilarious.

I literally jumped off the couch and started pumping my fists in the air. Lisa watched this with us; it was her first episode of Survivor: Gabon, and what an episode! She even asked us to rewind the part where Sugar made the “Loser” sign during the vote.
Probst’s blog this week was so douchey. It’s so obvious that he hates people who play this game with their brains instead of their brawn. Dick. What Sugar and Bob pulled off was epic. And after all the shit Randy’s put her through, she deserved her moment of laughter. Crystal was ridiculous. I’d like to play poker with her. I’d win a million dollars.
Bob did look regretful. But I was impressed that he still voted for Susie. And I don’t think he ever once told Randy that he had found the idol. Randy saw what he thought was the idol, asked Bob for it, and Bob gave it to him. Love it.
And, per the preview, I totally think Bob is lying to Corrine. Although I had been hoping for the exact scenario he described.
