This week’s Project Runway was sponsored by Campbell’s Soup. It was a fun challenge, with the American Heart Association and all, but the dresses on the most part were underwhelming, IMO. See all the looks here.

I hated the star dress! I couldn’t believe it was in the top 3! I do think the right person went home, though.

I think the right person went home too, although I liked that person. (Are we not saying?) I agree that the dresses were underwhelming and I can never get over how *surprised* they all are that they don’t have much time! As if it were a contest or something!

I disliked all the dresses except the winning look. The star dress to me was just not as terrible as some of the others, they just didn’t have a lot to pick from for top three. This was a hard challenge. Those fabrics all looked like you could make a cute apron, or a cute pot holder out of, not an evening gown (obviously that’s what makes it a challenge!)
I was surprised how many people went for satin. Satin is rarely a good look on people, it shows so many figure flaw in addition to sewing flaws and it wrinkles so badly.

I find it a little disturbing that they all had such problems designing for “real” women. What kind of designers are they if they can only design for mini models?
