I Like Candy When It’s Wrapped in a Sweater
Thursday, January 03, 2008 at 09:36am by freakgirlA Project Runway haiku, as I am too busy stuffing my mouth full of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups to do a proper post.
Clothes out of candy.
Twizzlers? Wrappers? Pillows, too.
Silver swimmies? Ugh.
See the looks here. Let’s discuss how much Christian is annoying me.

I love a Haiku!
Now? There is now way on earth
I can’t do one too.
He is annoying isn’t he? I can only barely stand him because the TV separates us. He would drive me crazy if I were living or working with him. Ugh – he just seems so young and so obnoxious.
I thought Chris really redeemed himself last night, there was much talk about whether or not he ‘deserved’ to come back in the competition, so I was glad to see such a nice dress from him. I thought maybe Jillian should have won, since hers was clearly the hardest to do.

I loved Chris’ dress. But Rami’s – wow. It really captured the fun spirit of the challenge and it was kick-ass to boot. Those pleats!

I was impressed by Jillian, but Twizzlers were a bad idea and that top jumped away from the body. I thought Rami’s was adorable and I thought Ricky’s also captured the challenge’s fun. Looks wise, I really liked Chris’. Christian’s was fine, but he could have
made it a little funner – I mean, he had plenty of time! Depending on the light, it looked kind of like melted mud. Victorya’s was just stupid and don’t get me started on that walk! She should have been auffed for the walk alone!

……and that top jumped away from the body.
Geez, Laura, they don’t make Twizzlers out of cotton jersey!
What’s not to love about Christian and his snotty remarks and stupid hair? He’s the BRAT.
I think Rami and Zach Posen did it after the show. Sparks!

Totally.

Maybe Jillian should have used some fabric and used the Twizzlers as trim? I just think it’s funny that the designer who couldn’t use the fat lady’s old dress because it had pleats or darts or something tied herself up with ropey red licorice!

Rami on a stick
Someday soon I’ll make you mine
Call me! Zach Posen.

PS It was only AFTER I went to incorporate some Bow Wow Wow into my haiku that I realized the genius of your post title, FG.

Oh, fudge! Is it like “pohn” or “pee-own”?
15. freakgirl said ( Thursday, January 03, 2008 at 5:01 pm )
pohn

OK. Works then.
Did you see that Danny V designed NYLO wear in association with the hotels?

I thought it was judged correctly this ep. I loved Chris’ dress though. I actually really didn’t like Ricky’s even though it seemed like a lot of people including Tim Gunn in his blog liked it. The bubble skirt is not good. Even on a Hershey kiss dress.
I thought Chris’s dress was awesome.
I was not surprised to hear that Elisa had suffered a head injury. Do you think that she was so peculiar before the accident?
18. freakgirl said ( Thursday, January 03, 2008 at 9:11 pm )
I thought Ricky’s dress was really fun. I hate bubble skirts, too, but with a Candy theme, it works.
I know it’s shitty, but we all had the same thought about Elisa, didn’t we? I wonder if, for certain people, staring death in the face just makes you a different person. Someone who doesn’t really care about what others think. I find her strange and refreshing. Sorry to see her go.
(also, when she told the story of her accident, I knew she would be auf’d)

I did too, FG. They tried to throw us a little bit with Sweet P’s retrospective.
Rami made quite the impression this episode – in any number of senses. He should wear that one black shirt more often.

You know, I was HATING Christian until I watched a marathon of this season on NYE (*cough* loser! *cough*) and I realized, after seeing him make his snarky comments episode after episode, that he’s actually pretty damn funny. I think this was the first episode where I didn’t want him and his stupid hair to disappear. I think he got me when he said sarcastically, “Great, we get to make shit out of candy.”

I think he’s hilarious. But he needs to get over himself a bit. Nobody should be finishing that early. He doesn’t take direction or critiques…which so far has worked for him, but aside from the challenge he won, I think he does only enough to land in the middle of the pack.
Also, his dress this week was just a re-tread of the coffee filter dress and Chloe’s leaf dress (I think it was Chloe).
I do agree, though, Heather, his snarky remarks are pretty funny.

How can you not love a person who allows himself to be carried in a totebag?
