Thought it was nice that the elimination challenge results matched perfectly with my predictions for the season: elimination-fodder in the bottom 3, my final four picks at the top, and in the middle, two kinda douchey guys (alright, one kinda-douche who lives at home and one mega-douche) that could take the place of one of the brothers if they screw up.

Robin didn’t really start to annoy me until the last few episodes. In this one, she seemed to vacillate between “I’m gonna show these whippersnappers and win this thing!” and “I know I’m not as good and can’t win, but I’m not dead yet…” Irritating. That said, I don’t think she’s THAT much worse than Ash or the girl whose name I can never remember. Ashley seemed better, though; almost middle-tier.

I completely agree that Ashley was better than Robin. But she wouldn’t have won. I also think that we’re getting a more annoying edit of Robin at this point in the season, so they have a good storyline. Ash had no confidence and Eli is a bit of an immature dick, eh?

Whitney at Pop Candy pointed out that Restaurant Wars sometimes results in a completely tragic elimination, and Colicchio sort of hints at that in his blog this week. I’m a little scared for the next episode.

When I saw that next week would be restaurant wars, I panicked because it’s surely going to be one of the Fab Four who gets the ax. The strongest people usually take a leadership role, and therefore one gets eliminated. I hope it’s not my Kevin.

To tell the truth, I wouldn’t have minded any one of the bottom three going home this week. They are clearly the weakest 3 left. Ashley was probably better than all of them, but I agree with FG that she would never have won.

Also, I think we should start having some kind of “I’m not here to make friends” pool for these competition shows. During which episode will it surface and who will say it?

When Robin said that, I laughed out loud.

I’m sure if Mike I. weren’t there, I would dislike Eli, but as it is, it’s hard for him to compare.

The tease for next week showed Jen freaking out, but that’s a little too on-the-nose, don’t you think? I can see her being nominated for head chef on a team, but she handled that job excellently for the Air Force challenge. Plus, she always says she’s in the weeds, but usually pulls out top-tier material.

I love Kevin! I want to eat his food. I really hope he or Jennifer wins this thing. As mega douche and little douche, I hope they boy go before Robin.
