Didn’t it seem like new judge got an eye-rolling WTF response from Padma and Tom when he launched into another of his obtuse critiques? Or was that just wishful thinking on my part?
Love that Fabio laid the Italian accent on extra thick for his front of the house job. I didn’t even realize it was possible.
I have to say, it pissed me off that “Philadelphia” was not said once this episode. No, Padma… Stephen Starr has a few places in Atlantic City, two in NY, and a dozen in Philly, his hometown. And the two in NY are the same concept as their namesakes here. That doesn’t count as “across the country”. That said, Starr came off as a nicer guy than I would’ve predicted (though his guest blog this week said he’d have been harsher given another chance).
And I totally regret wishing for Carla to get off my screen— that meltdown was priceless. Hopefully it’ll give the judges some insight into the crazy that infects the kitchen on occasion.
I’m ready for Leah to go now. How funny was it that picking Stefan — last, of course — completely saved her ass for another round? Food over personality, people. Suck it up.
Ranking: Stefan, Jamie, Hosea, Jeff, Fabio. I can’t imagine one of these five going before Leah or Carla. I really think it’s Stefan’s to lose at this point; not as clear-cut as Blais last season, but look what happened to him.
Part of the freezer problem might have been that everyone was putting hot food in there all at once. The poor freezer never stood a chance. (Yep, I’m standing up for an appliance.)
Sandy, exactly. The same thing happened in the Christmas episode. I thought it was poor planning on anyone’s part to make frozen desserts, knowing that could happen.

Holy shit I totally forgot to tape this (yes, it’s true … we still do that VCR thing).

Yeah, Lost got us all confused. Luckily Bravo re-runs a lot.

I know he got an eye-rolling WTF response from our house. He needs to stop it.
B-Side does a great photocap this week (the last one is the best):

I think Patrick’s ranking is probably right. FG certainly called the demise of Radhika – but she was good at winning those Quick Fire challenges.
GE’s not gonna be happy if it was the supplier of those crappy freezers.

I totally agree with Patricks ranking…in the next few shows, if anyone besides Leah or Carla goes home it will be a crime.
