As much as I like Stephanie, I feel really bad for Richard. The competition was his to lose, and unfortunately, he did. He, much more than the others, needed another pair of hands.

I was so excited to hear Richard’s final words after the pre-commercial teaser. I had my fingers crossed for a slam on Lisa, but he apparently has more class than that; who knew? (Ted gives Rich a fitting elegy in his TC blog this week.)

Can’t wait for the reunion, where it (hopefully) will become clear what the devil happened with the Dale/Lisa elimination decision, and everybody gets in a few choice words. Can you imagine how awesome a Rich / Stephanie / Dale finale would have been?

Ted’s blog entry was good. Did he even mention Lisa in there once though??? I liked that she got 4% of the fan votes on Bravo, but I was pretty damn nervous that she was going to win.

    Stephanie’s Top Chef
Richard choked on his sous vid
    Lisa’s a loser

By the way, has anyone read Lisa’s reaction to all of the viewers’ negative comments? Something to the effect of, “Eff them, they can’t afford to dine at the restaurants I work at. They’re not my customers, so I don’t care what they think.” HATE HER.

And does anyone else think she kind of “sabotaged” Stephanie’s dessert course? She kept telling Stephanie to go ahead with it, even when Stephanie wasn’t confidant about it. HATE HER EVEN MORE.

Is there going to be a reunion show? Bravo usually shows the reunions before the finale.

Where did you read Lisa’s reactions? (Perhaps the better question is, Do I want to read it, and do I have something handy to smash?)

Yeah, the reunion is next week; the clip they teased featured the Dale/Lisa elimination decision prominently.

I wasn’t a Chicago season hater, but this had to be the dullest finale ever. Also, I thought the idea of having a famous chef act as their sous chef was odd. It didn’t really add anything to the show although it was nice to see Lisa get a long with someone.

It also annoyed me that the judges kept pointing out that they were making this decision just based on this one meal. Yeah, yeah, we get it. Lisa’s second from the last every time, yet she can still win. Blah blah. Enough. I think we all get that that’s the way they judge even though the result is someone like Lisa in the finale. I really hope that this season will make them reconsider how they judge. What’s that quote, “Consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds”?

    Yet, yay for Stephanie!

    Yes, yay for Stephanie!

The editing over-sold Lisa and under-sold Stephanie as it seemed obvious that once everyone had her main course, the contest was done. Her pistachios and olives weren’t going to lose to Lisa’s soup. No how, no way.

I’m glad they didn’t do a “live” finale. I hate those.

Oh, and Gail Simmons is looking hella fine lately.

That just had to be noted.

I didn’t ride a bike so I saw Hell’s Kitchen. I thought the elimination was bullshit, considering there was a lot worse that should have left sooner.

Yep, it made me angry and imparted the desire to break something:

You’ve been watching the show and following some of the stuff online?

Oh no, I don’t read the blogs ? you couldn’t pay me to read the blogs. I don’t want to know what people who can’t even afford to eat in my restaurant, let alone know how to cook have to say about me, and the few comments I did read on Eater.com a few weeks back because my job asked me to read ‘em. The best they could come up with was that I was ugly.

I’m going to go home and eat my spam, ramen noodles and hamburger helper and say mean things about Lisa. And dream about having enough coin to go to her restaurant.

The most annoying thing about Hell’s Kitchen was Ramsay pulling a Seacrest. “The person… leaving Hell’s Kitchen tonight is… … … JEN…eral Bobby!”

RE: Top Chef, damn that editing to make me nervous that Lisa might actually win. I hat when they do that crap. They almost fooled me this time. Poor Richard looked so sad. :( Even his fauxhawk was drooping.

They should cook on America’s Got Talent and win the 100 mil. Rather them, then some britney impersonator.
