Russell Gets it in the Backdoor

This episode of Big Brother featured a giant ape sex toy rapping with Casey’s voice. After I checked to make sure that my dinner was NOT, in fact, laced with acid, I continued watching the show.

So, as Jeff and Jordan head into their third week of basically being in power, cracks are starting to show. Jeff is annoyed that Jordan doesn’t seem to try very hard or study for any of the competitions. He’s pulling all the weight and he starts to raise his voice while he talks to her and she gets upset and says she like the happy Jeff better. I did enjoy when he yelled, “Why does everyone always assume that Jordan is cute and right?” Heh heh. He’s right, though. He does have all the blood on his hands and may not be able to win against her. I wonder if he would actually jettison her at the end. He might have to.

Jeff and Jordan also start acting strangely around Russell, sort of shutting him out. There’s this terribly awkward scene where Russell says to Jeff, “Who woulda thought the two guys who had a fight during the first week would now be friends, ha ha har,” and looks at Jeff hopefully and Jeff just kind of stares into the distance. It was awful.

Going into the Veto, everyone knows how important it is and everyone swears to play their hardest to win it. At this point, just about all of them need it. Except Jordan, of course, who illustrates this by losing during the very first round. About the Veto — it features Casey rapping and it made the baby Jesus cry. That’s all I’m saying about that. Jeff is AMAZING at this competition, leaving everyone in the dust. It comes down to him and Michele, and  he wins.

Natalie immediately starts kissing ass and making promises. Kevin does, too, but in a more understated manner. I really like him. He’s been a pleasant surprise this season. He gives good DR. Jordan tells Jeff they need to break up the duo of Michele and Russell. Jeff still hasn’t forgiven Russell for voting to keep Jessie in the house after Jeff used the Coup, so he takes Kevin off the block and puts up Russell in his place.

Russell promises us Chima-esque fireworks on Thursday. Bring it on, Russ, because after you’re gone, the rest of this season is going to be DULLSVILLE.

Thanks Jeff, for making sure Natalie has a strong chance at winning this thing.

I agree about Kevin – I would like to see anyone of them win but Gnatalie. Ugh, she is horrid. Kevin is funny and is playing a good game and not walking around with a sense of entitlement like a lot of houseguests do. I would like to see him and Michele in the final two, though I see no situation that could happen.

I don’t know…at this point it looks to be a strong Natalie/Michele or Kevin/Michele finale.

Why is it that people always snap near the end of this thing? Can a final four alliance never stick together down to the final four? Too bad.

The year that guy Drew won (and Cowboy lost), was that an original Final Four alliance? I can’t remember. It’s so rare, though. I guess because you make these alliances not really knowing the people that well. You decide to which wagon you’ll hitch your star and pray you made the right decision. I think I would suck at a game like Big Brother.

The year Drew won, he was in an alliance with Cowboy, Jase, and Peen…er, Scott. Final three was Cowboy, Drew, and Diane (who Drew had a “showmance” with, and then promptly kicked to the curb).

    Oh, right…poor Diane. Ha ha.

After thinking about it for a bit, and not knowing a hell of a lot of what’s going on behind the scenes (so to speak), I’m guessing that Jeff giving Russ the old back door treatment had more to do with Jeff deciding he doesn’t want to compete against Russell in competitions, and less to do with thinking that Russell is out to get him. This way he can use that as an excuse to get him out, and say something like, “No hard feelings, I’m just afraid you’ll come after me.” If Russell was any weaker at competitions, I think he would have stuck to the original plan of their Final Four.

I think Jeff knows he can beat everyone else in competitions, as long as there will be no more spelling.

Good point. Especially in an endurance competition. It does seem, though, that he and Jordan are completely blind to the fact that Natalie plans to get Jeff out next week. I think Russell would have stayed on his side (at least for now).

Jeff & to a lesser extent, Jordan, are not taking into consideration who is in the jury house … they’d both do better against Russell & Michelle than Kevin & Natalie.

Amy, I thought of that too. Why start shitting on your alliance when you need them to VOTE FOR YOU in the end? This is where it gets tricky and they either cement their votes, or they’ll end up alienating everyone.
