Karma’s a Bitch, Eh, Kelly?

Thoughts on this week’s 90210 after the jump.

Has Annie gone completely mental? Please explain to me how her and Ethan’s betrayal of Naomi led to Annie being a raging, horrible bitch and Naomi, Queen of the School, reduced to grovelling for the favor of some low-rent Heathers? Have these characters completely switched personalities?

And what’s the new brother after, money? Who’s he working with? Who cares? My guess is that this storyline is going to lead to Dixon seeking out his birth father, finding his blackness, and causing Silver some emotional distress in favor of that cheerleader who seems interested in him.

And how about Kelly and Brenda? Kelly regretting all the shitty things she’s done to Brenda over a boy (funny how she figures this out AFTER Dylan presumably rejects her), trying to make amends, only to find that Brenda totally slept with Ryan. And honestly, is Ryan a manwhore or what? Anyway, Kelly, I always knew Brenda would get you back for that time you stole Dylan while she was in Paris. Just didn’t think it would take 15 years (give or take a few).

90210 won’t return with new episodes until January, so if you’ve missed any, here’s your chance to catch up.

Also, Rob Estes is hot. That is all.

    I know, right? And don’t you think the principal of the school would have let her know that Silver threw a goddamn kegger while she was away?

    Another thing — the “two hairstyles” comment made me GOGGLE at the screen.

    Okay, one more — spoiler alert, although it was easy to figure out from the previews for upcoming episodes — they are making Brenda infertile? Because Brenda’s life hasn’t sucked enough already? And Kelly continues to be Little Miss Perfect? RAGE!

    I don’t know the two hairstyles comment you are referring to. The show must have momentarily lost my attention (I know!).

    Also, what was with Adrianna suddenly hanging out with Silver so much? And her sickness on account of hot dog smelling… I think I know where that is headed.

    Silver told Annie that if her skirt were any shorter, she’d need two hairstyles. :-O

    If Adrianna is pregnant, I’m going to be so pissed off. I guess it won’t be Navid’s; probably that drug dealer? And yeah, really, I thought Adrianna and Naomi were besties. This show confuses me.

    Oh… yes… I blocked that out.

    I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s not pregnant and that was just another example of random script elements. The show confuses me, and I don’t find it that great, but for some odd reason I continue to watch and be entertained.

    You know, I just saw the original episode where Kelly miscarries Brandon’s baby and is told by her very sensitive doctor, after one exam tells her that she will probably never be able to have kids at the ripe old age of 22.

    So far this show is really predictable, and that’s disappointing. I’m also tired of them discussing Phantom Dylan. I also have been waiting for Silver to get in shit for hosting a kegger and I can’t figure out why Kelly hasn’t been told.

    Shenae Grimes continues to grate my last nerve. I hate her hair, I want to set a match to it. Why was she cast? I hope I never have to see her “angry” again. That was painful and embarrassing to watch.

    Adrianna has dark hair. Do you think she will give her baby to Brenda?

    I’m wondering when the new writing team stepped in. Have they already and that’s why character personalities seem to be changing? Or will the new writers’ episodes debut in January and the show will begin to firm up?

    Also, oh god, Baby Adrianna and Brenda? Could you imagine?

    I will keep watching because even while the show isn’t great, I please to enjoy yelling at the tv. My only real regret is that the two main characters are played by actresses I really can’t abide. I don’t mind their characters, though. Can’t Amy Sedaris play Annie instead? If so, I promise to eat all my vegetables.
