How Many Plays Can One School Perform?
Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 08:39am by freakgirlOkay, granted, I might not have my FULL attention on the television when 90210 is on. It’s just difficult to watch, so I try to distract myself.
So let me know if I’ve got this right — Adrianna is a lot more pregnant than she thought. In fact, it appears she’s been pregnant since the show started, because I don’t remember her sleeping with that guy at all. Which means she was pregnant while using AND when she overdosed. And nobody is concerned that her fetus is probably all effed up? Also, have you ever heard of anyone self-aborting through excessive drinking of coffee? UGH WHATEVER.
Nice fakeout with the car accident, though. I doubt they’ll kill off Ethan, although the accident upsets me tremendously because it means that we’ll have to deal with Shenae Grimes trying to act dramatic.
Oh, and Mr. Matthews is a douchebag.

You need to start watching Gossip Girl, it is the perfect mix of drama and camp. I gave up on 90210 3 or 4 episodes in…

Yeah, I know I should be watching Gossip Girl. I’ll probably start watching it in the spring when all the other shows end.

Adrianna supposedly slept with that guy when she was getting Annie back for “stealing” the role in the other play, but she didn’t really sleep with him, right? She just pretended to, and then later told the truth. So are they playing it off like the truth was a lie, or are they confused about their own plotline?
So does this mean that Cleopatra is going to have a big old baby belly during the play?
Matthews is a total douchebag, but now they’ve turned Silver into a douchebag. Ung.

I guess they’re playing it off like the truth was a lie? Sloppy writing. I can’t imagine they’re going to have this tiny little actress actually go through with a pregnancy and then cart a baby around with her. Also, I may have missed this — where is her mother?
I am also sad about the direction Silver’s character has taken. She started out as my favorite; now I’m wishing Brenda would come back and slap her around a little.

I also have a question about Naomi’s father. At the beginning of the series she called him Daddy and she thought they had a happy wonderful family. So…why does he act as though he hates her? I don’t agree with his philandering but I understand it…I just don’t understand why it means that he no longer cares about his daughter’s feelings.
And now Naomi lives at the Bellagio just like Dylan used to, heh.

Is the effect of the show getting a new writing team, you think? Are they trying to reboot?

I guess…but how hard is it to build on what’s already been done instead of re-write history?

I know, right? I think they should let US write it.

These people are all just awful yet I continue to watch because of Kelly and hopefully other old characters coming back. That Shenae Grimes is one of the worst actresses I’ve come across. Plus now Ethan is all syrupy sweet too and I just want to smother them both.
Silver was bitchy for the first episode of the season then they made her all super nice and now I think they are trying to go back to how she was in the begining.
I feel like I’m babbling. This show burns brain cells.

“I just want to smother them both” made me laugh out loud.
Silver WAS bitchy in the beginning, but she was funny smart bitchy. Now she’s just mean.

Yeah, she’s mean and oblivious.
Also, I obviously meant the Bel-Age hotel, duh! (Bellagio is in Las Vegas.) I googled it and found out that it closed and became the London West Hollywood. Goodbye Bel-Age! I will miss the way Dylan broke a flowerpot and scared Brenda outside of you!

I love that scene. Dylan is wearing the most ridiculous coat.
