Again, everyone, I’m a day behind on Grey’s Anatomy. So sorry. But you do fine without me, so discuss away! It will be next to impossible for me not to peek in and see what happened!! Is Burke dead? Denny? Doc the Dog? My stomach hurts!

I haven’t watched Grey’s Anatomy yet, as I was watching the Survivor finale instead. Discuss McDreamy and Meredith and George and everyone else here.

Damage Case

Well, last night on Grey’s Anatomy, I remembered why the show revolves around Meredith. The speech she gave to Derek (or, as my husband called him, McCrabby) was awesome. “You don’t have the right to call me a whore.” It was good to see her stand up for herself and it was nice to see Callie do the same with George. “I did wash my hands.” Aw, poor Callie. I love that she can’t stand Meredith and Izzie, and I sort of hope it stays that way. But it’s starting to seem like she’s actually afraid of them, rather than repulsed. In other news, Denny appears to be on his way out, physically and emotionally. Izzie tries to help by crawling into bed with him…I cannot stand watching this nightmare unfold. It’s going to be so awful when he dies. Harold from Harold & Kumar shows up as an intern who falls asleep behind the wheel after being awake for 48 hours, and causes a car accident that results in the death of a pregnant woman. Alex saves the baby, and Harold tearfully apologizes to the family in a scene that put a lump in my throat. I loved the way he kept saying, “I’m so sorry,” while Meredith and George just looked at each other. Burke is angry at Cristina because she fell asleep on him during sex, and that story sort of seemed pushed in there as filler.

TiVo/VCR Alert: The season finale airs next Sunday AND Monday (for 2 hours). The Survivor reunion airs at the same time Sunday, and The Apprentice airs at the same time on Monday.

Blues For Sister Someone

God, it seems like years since the last time we saw Grey’s Anatomy, huh? I don’t even know where to start. Well, Denny’s still alive, so there’s that. His and Izzie’s little “thing” has become public knowledge, though, and I’m sure this will all work out quite well. EXCEPT THAT IT WON’T. How can you not love Denny, though? Meredith decides to start dating her vet, and their first date is birthing a horse together. Romantic! Addison gets Alex for the day, and he ends up causing a husband to bring a giant lawsuit against the Addison and the hospital. I’m really not 100% sure why Alex felt so strongly about the whole “don’t tell my husband you’re tying my tubes” thing, unless he’s really THAT anti-woman. Izzie and George make up, George finally has a decent haircut, and Burke loses his personal musical hero on the operating table.

The Name of The Game

I didn’t get a chance to watch Grey’s Anatomy yet, but please feel free to go ahead and start gabbing about it!

Superstition

Monday, March 20, 2006 at 08:26am by freakgirl

On this episode we find out about superstition. Horoscopes, lucky surgery caps, being or not being struck by lightning, hot chocolate juju, and people who hate people who say “juju.” A lot of people die on the table this week, but Denny isn’t one of them. Meredith complains about Addison being nice to her, which is RICH. George continues his Meredith-strike, tortures Cristina, and calls Callie “ma’am.” Izzie dumps Alex and kisses Denny. We find out that Webber is a recovering alcoholic, and that Ellis Grey was the problem.

Band-Aid Covers the Bullethole

It took me awhile, but I finally realized that every Grey’s Anatomy epiosde title is a song. This week’s was probably the most obscure one so far, though. I wonder why they chose it. Anyhoo. George cuts his own hair with manicure scissors like he’s Billie Jean or something. It also turns out that George and Burke have becoming running partners, and also can perform a pretty decent egg toss. (Dirty!) Cristina is half-amused, half-terrified. Back at the hospital, Izzie is obsessing over Heart Patient Denny, and Alex is doing everything short of pissing on Denny’s head to mark Alex as his. Meredith and McDreamy continue their “friendship,” and it actually seems to be going okay. He gives her some advice about patching things up with George, and also realizes that he hasn’t exactly been a model husband, thanks to the story of a patient with a brain aneurysm (played by Natalie Cole, who we did not even recognize until halfway in; I have no idea why). George and his new love interest are moving things right along, working on patients together and flirting.

Oh, George

I should have trusted the writers of Grey’s Anatomy. I was quite worried about the Meredith/George hookup from last week, but it was handled well. Like someone wrote in the comments last week, this needed to happen for George to be able to let go of his Meredith fantasy. And I believe he has. When he said to the nurse (the one who gave him syphillis), “If you felt anything like I’m feeling right now, I’m so sorry,” he just about broke my heart. And ending the show with him bunking with Burke and Cristina was great.

We got a glimpse of Addison this week as a normal human being, which I appreciated. We’ve always sort of just disliked her and it was nice to see some real regret and humor. Seeing her and McDreamy laughing at the poison oak situation showed a side of their relationship we hadn’t yet seen. Izzie is once again way too close to one of her patients, and I can’t believe that Alex is jealous. But as the geekboy pointed out, Izzie has a real connection with Denny the Heart Patient, where as with Alex it seems to be all sex.

Meredith and McDreamy have decided to be “just friends,” which is only like the worst idea she’s ever had.

Meanwhile, Bailey still rocks.
