It’s no secret I haven’t been enjoying Weeds all that much this season. But this episode brought me back around, I think. It was Andy-heavy, which is always wonderful. Again, the person that seemingly loves Nancy the most is the only one who can tell her the truth about herself. “Why is fucking Armageddon always coming on me?” she asks, and El Andy replies, “You do it, you do know that. You have to know that it’s all you.” I loved it.

Oh, Andy. The Thighmaster and Judah’s old bankbook. What WILL you think of next?

Silas and Doug set up shop, and Shane continues to be creepy. I must say I’m a bit worried for the teacher that stole his weed, though. Methinks Shane takes after his mother in the realm of questionable decision-making.

Celia is back, blah blah. Please, writers, give her something to do. And Nancy presumably gets Captain Till murdered by Esteban. Way to go, Magic 8 Ball.

I gotta say, I’m not really feeling Weeds this season. Are you? Although if anyone can tell me where I can find the glasses Jennifer Jason Leigh’s been sporting, I’d be eternally grateful. I can’t find a screencap, grrrr.

As we were watching this episode, the geekboy turned to me and said, “I have seen enough of Andy’s ass to last a lifetime.” Although Andy’s ass is much more enjoyable to me than Sookie’s boobs on True Blood, I understand his point. I must say, Jennifer Jason Leigh is a welcome presence on this show — I just love her and think she is excellent casting to play Nancy’s sister. HOT POCKETS!

Anyhoo. Perhaps I am oversensitive, but the sex scene between Nancy and Esteban looked more like rape to me. It was disturbing, especially with her being drunk and then just standing there with her ass hanging out. I know it was supposed to give us a chuckle, but it made me very uncomfortable. The Nancy segments are the least interesting to me now.

How about Silas and his brand new veneers? I didn’t notice last week, but this week they looked HUGE.

I miss the old days of Agrestic. This whole Mexican gangster thing is disturbing. It would be one thing if I thought Nancy and the mayor were really in love, but it feels to me like they’re just goading each other into more and more extreme behavior. And the scene with Esteban at the doctor’s scared me; I was thinking they were going to force her to get an abortion. But I guess he wants a son. The Geekboy has already predicted Nancy will find out she’s having a girl, and we’ll have to watch her lie about that, too.

The Celia kidnapping storyline is ridonk, but I laughed my ass off as that guy made ransom call after ransom call and everyone said, “No, thanks!”

Still loving Andy. When he screamed at her, “YOU POISON EVERYTHING YOU TOUCH!” I cheered.
